Mehari
In ’90, near Rotterdam, this Mehari became second hand. Once it started yellow, later it was painted red. In its Dutch period it did 85.000km. A two seater on Dutch registration, which it still has.
It was bought to move garden waste around the Italian holiday house, but was sometimes used for leisure or even camping; pictures are available. Because the cargo was often longer than the back of the car, the registration plate was fitted with a hinge, so it was still visible with the rear opened.
After a few years it went into the garage, where it stayed until about 4 years ago. Around that time the son took the Mehari to our garage. We made it roadworthy, so it could again be used in Italy. That did happen, but not as often as hoped for. So the family decided it should encounter new adventures with a new owner. In NL, I, F, with a first or second home, it’s up to you.
