In ’61 the Ami 6 was introduced, a model between the 2cv and DS. The funny rear window is one of its design features. Not everyone appreciated its beauty.

Too bad, there were a lot of dull cars available as well, we like it very much. In ’64 a Break model was added, with a large 5th door and with quite a lot of space for this type of car.

The recipe of simple technique (like the 2cv), more luxury (like the DS) and spacious (like a van) was liked and it sold quite well. Mid-nineties a grey one was our daily driver and with our daughter in the back and a boot filled with all stuff needed it was a very comfortably driving holiday car.

In ’68 it was clear its successor, the Ami 8, was coming and the Ami 6 already got its newly developed engine. With its 35hp engine it was a lot quicker and more reliable, but with the 25hp version it lost its charmingly sounding low-rev engine. The new one needed to be driven at higher rpm’s.

This is such a late model, originally coming from France. A few years ago it was completely restored, as much as possible (new) original parts were used. After that it was driven occasionally and it left some marks of use. But the insane colour and its beautiful interior compensate a lot.

It will be deliverd with the tank filled, a new APK and fully serviced.
