In ‘81 Citroën introduced a more sophisticated 2cv, the Charleston. Two-tone paint, more luxurious seating and dashing striping on the sides.

At first just as an action model in red and black. It turned out to be a success, so it was added to the regular range. Later on a yellow/black version was added, which after a short while was succeeded by a grey/dark-grey version. The red and grey versions were continued until the end of the production.

This Charleston has been stored for over 10 years in a barn near us, awaiting a new future. In August ‘90 it was first driven, the first female owner used as daily transport until it had some defects and a rusty chassis, not allowing it to pass APK. She decided not to sell it, but to store it in the barn of her parents house, until she would be wise enough to make a decision on its future.

In 2013 we met her. The house was about to be sold and the barn had to be cleared out. The car represented quite some sentiments, but she decided we were allowed to be the new owner, on the single condition that we would make it like new again; so we did! Everything that was bad or average was replaced, it was re-sprayed and re-upholstered. Even the stamped marks on the firewall were reproduced.

The 2cv was sold in 2013 to a second owner, who hardly added any kilometers, but stored it properly in his garage. Now you have the chance to be the third owner of an almost new Charleston of the last year of production. It was build in Portugal, five weeks before the end. We will take care of a new APK and full service before it leaves.
