From 1963 on, you could order a new, more luxurious version of the 2cv in France: the AZAM. This car was given luxurious seating, a more chique interior and a considerable amount of shiny trim on the outside of the car. The most obvious decorations are “paperclips” attached to the bumper.

In December of ’64, the 2cv got doors that opened the “normal” way. This AZAM was built on October 18th, ’64, which makes it one of the last 2cvs with suicide doors. It was delivered to southern France, where it was used only to go fishing: the bracket to transport the rod is still there. The owner died in ’73. The 2cv was put away with 21.000km on the meter. In the nineties, the owner’s son occasionally used it, after which he sold the car in 2004 with only 28.000km. Next, the car drove a bit more with some other admirers.

This is one of the prettiest 2cvs I’ve ever had: what an amazing combination of colors! The interior, including the red upholstery, looks like it’s new. The exterior shows some signs of wear and tear: let’s call it patina. The chassis and floor are in perfect condition. And above all else, the car drives like new, the centrifugal clutch works well and the tires have recently been renewed.

It will be delivered recently serviced and MOT’d.
