After years of simplicity, a more luxurious 2cv entered the market in '63.
Europe was gaining economic strength, reflected by the increase of different car models. After the more luxurious Ami from ’61, this model was a logical intermediate. France got the AZAM, Belgium the AZM3 and later the AZAM6, with a stronger engine.
Shiny trim and details all around, tubes on its bumpers, but its luxury really hits you as you get into the car and subside in its delightfully soft interior.
This is quite an early one, with its doors still opening “the wrong way”. It was found in the Haute-Savoie and taken to the Netherlands in the early 90s. Having spent years put away in a barn, it was brought back to life only a few years ago. Parts of its technique were renewed and its handsome patina was preserved with Owatrol. Time has left some scars on the interior, but we don’t really mind; it just fits the car’s nicely weathered appearance.
As you know, we regularly offer shiny and new – but we very much like this weathered look as well.
We deliver this car ready for the road.
