In 2001, customer Aad came to show me his newest purchase: a Jaune Mimosa 2cv, found in Italy. To be honest, I was quite jealous… For years, Aad drove it around here and when he decided to move to France, he took the 2cv with him. A few months ago, he called me, saying the car needed some more attention: would I be interested? Of course!!! With my son and a friend, I went to France to pick it up: the start of a new life for this almost unique little 2cv. Nowadays, this colour is rarely seen anymore: we only have one original amongst our customers.

In our opinion, the promise of a new life has been kept. This 2cv got a new chassis and floors, and while we were at it, we also renewed the roof, interior, mudguards, rims, bumper, et cetera. As for the car’s details, we kept it as original as possible – the more modern roof, now opening from the inside, is just a concession for safety. We also re-used the original drum brakes, but did decide to use silicone brake fluid, so less maintenance will be needed. The engine has been completely overhauled as well, so instead of the 146.000km on the clock you could read 0km.

It was very tempting to keep this 2cv for myself… but how do you give 10+ cars enough attention? That’s why we think you deserve to drive this piece of sunshine on wheels.
